FAQS

Q: DO STUDENTS NEED TO PAY FOR MATERIALS FOR THE MATH TUITION?

A: Lessons will be conducted ONLINE via ZOOM and therefore no hard copy of materials needed. All worksheets will be sent as soft copies. And students are to keep the soft copies in folders in their Computer.

Q: WILL THERE BE LESSON ON PUBLIC HOLIDAYS?

A: We are closed on public holidays. If the Math lesson falls on a public holiday, Math Coffee will communicate with parent/student, to arrange make-up class for the missed lesson. But do take note that if public holiday falls on a weekend, lesson will still be conducted unless it is Chinese New Year period.

Q: WILL THERE BE A HOLIDAY BREAK DURING THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS?

A: Lessons are still on-going during school holidays. If students would like to take time-off during school holidays, he/she will need to inform the school two weeks in advance. Time-off is only allowed during school holidays and maximum for 2 weeks.

Q: WHAT IF STUDENT MISSES HIS/HER SCHEDULED MATH LESSON?

A: If a student misses a scheduled lesson, he/she is allowed to attend a make-up lesson in another time slot. However, this depends on the availability of a seat in the other class and provided that Math Coffee is notified of the canceled lesson within 48 hours. The make-up lesson has to be in the month of the missed lesson. MC needs to be provided for calling in sick.

Please understand that Math Coffee’s schedules are pre-planned and so unnecessary cancellation of lessons will cause inconvenience and unfairness to Math Coffee as well as other students who are in need of the slots =)
